Youth Vocational Skilling & EDP Training
CMSSS has trained more than 500 school dropouts in the trades of garment-making, beautician, and driving & 4-wheeler mechanisms over the past 12 years. The primary focus group for skill training are school dropouts from backward and disadvantaged village communities who can be supported for direct employment or self-employment.
Certification on successful completion in collaboration with training institutes like FVTRS (Bengaluru) helps trainees advance to higher levels of training or avail loan facilities from banks. In addition to technical skills, youths are trained in personality development and social awareness to build confidence and workplace competence.

Group Income Generation Program (IGP) Methodology
- 1Aptitude Identification: We identify the aptitude for a particular IGP from among the women and youth considering their economic, social, climatic, and local environment.
- 2Technical Training: Trainees are grouped into specific trades and connected with local institutes where scientific and modern techniques are taught for higher income generation.
- 3Peer Motivation: Motivation through field visits and experiential inputs from successful village entrepreneurs.
- 4Initial Capital Support: Partial financial support is provided from SHGs and revolving funds to launch trades at the village level.
- 5Market Hand-Holding: Modern marketing techniques are introduced, and ongoing hand-holding is provided for product sales through the Jeevan Jyothi Federation.
Certified technical skills workshops conducted in Kadur, Tarikere, Birur, Sakleshpur, and Hassan centers.
